Loves Me, Loves Me Not

A man in love wants his woman to know he loves her. If he is not good with words, he shows her through his deeds: his thoughtfulness, consideration, kindness, generosity, protection, commitment. He is romantic with and attentive to her too. That is a man who is in love.

It's not the same as when a man is fond of a woman. He holds her in high regard, thinks she's a fantastic person even, but he's not burning for her, he's not trying to keep her. He's not going the extra mile for her. He is emotionally detached, somewhat dispassionate towards her. He could be there but once in a while, that's it! He just doesn't love her is all.

Mercy eyes were filled with dismay at the state of the sitting room she had tidied up just a few minutes ago. It was now in disarray, everything out of position.
